On a Mission

The Publicity Center offers a full slate of creative services to promote campus events, programs and departments while providing real world experience to student employees through hands-on skill development, professional mentoring and portfolio development.

Our student-focused Hype team invites students to experience campus life through a variety of student-focused “Hype” platforms including publications, social media, and street team opportunities.

Hear from Secretary of State Kim Wyman today

This week is College Civics Week and there are plenty of events to attend throughout the whole week!

Today you can join Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman for hot dogs, cool drinks and a lively look at civic involvement at 12:30 p.m. in the SURC Theatre.

The Showcase of Action event will display student efforts to improve voter participation over the past year. There will also be a voter registration station, opportunities to have your photo taken with Secretary Wyman and other officials, and a chance for students to vote on what civically oriented programs they would like to see at Central.

Secretary Wyman will speak about the importance of voting and giving back to the community. Less than 8 percent of Washington residents who voted in the 2012 General Election were ages 18-24. Secretary Wyman’s visit and speech are to encourage CWU students to vote.

Please come to Showcase of Action and have fun, meet Secretary Wyman and learn what we can all do to better our community.
