Sign up for Camp C-Woo!

The school year is coming to an end, which means it’s time for parents to start thinking about what to do about childcare this summer. Camp C-Woo is an activity-based day camp, hosted by CWU University Recreation, and is a great way for parents to make sure their child will be safe while still making themost out of their summer.

The camp runs Monday through Friday, June 17 to August 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Registration is open on a first come, first serve basis for kids grade 1 through 6. Parents can register their children for one week at a time, or commit to the entire summer. Forms, payment arrangement options and other useful information can be found online at

At Camp C-Woo, children will be able to improve social skills, develop character education and learn about nutrition and preparing snacks – all in a fun way. Physical activities include games, arts and crafts, wall climbing and much more. There will also be field trips throughout the summer, with kids getting the chance to bike on the John Wayne Trail at Lake Easton and receive swimming lessons.

“We want them [kids] to have fun and introduce them to a variety of activities,” says Corey Sinclair, CWU University Recreation Summer Camp coordinator. “Because we operate as a CWU program, there are a lot of resources that we are able to make available.”

With trained counselors on hand, Camp C-Woo is the perfect place for children to make new friends, stay active and keep their minds engaged during the summer. Give the kids a summer they will never forget and sign them up now.
