The talent and ambition of CWU students in the Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising program will be on display at the 17th annual Student Fashion Show: Wanderlust Saturday, June 1 at the Milo Smith Theatre in McConnell Hall. Models will hit the runway in the latest trends and original student designs at a 3 p.m. matinee and 7 p.m. evening show. A silent auction will be held before each show and will feature items such as wine and movie baskets, beauty products and gift certificates for rafting trips. Tickets are $10 at the door.
The show is broken into two segments; the first is current, ready to wear trends that are available at local and regional retailers including Maurices, Macy’s and Pacsun. The second segment includes the original lines of 10 student designers in the CWU Fashion Line Development course.
Wanderlust is an entirely student produced fashion show and flaunts the work of over 115 students across campus. Students in the Fashion Show Production and Fashion Line Development classes work together to fund raise, coordinate models, develop publicity and advertising, merchandise, design and build the stage and exhibition area, music, choreography and announcements for the show.
