My thoughts on the Wildcat Dash

By Jo Lo, CWU Publicity Center graphic design student

Near the end of my college career, the Central Washington University Hype Street Team filed me in on what Wildcat Dash was. I was far from being in the best shape, but as soon as I heard about the event, I was hooked. I knew full well that I was committed to participating and would register as soon as I could. So, I started eating healthy and exercising on a daily basis.

On the day of the Dash I had everything ready to go. I made a mega breakfast, drank plenty of water and got plenty of sleep the night before. But all that preparation wasn’t enough for the ultimate Wildcat Dash. It was a lot harder than I imagined (jumping in cold water, getting shocked and running five plus miles, dirt crawl, etc). With that said, the Wildcat Dash is the ultimate event that any thrill-seekers can hope for.
