The CWU Music Department and the CWU Opera Ensemble are bringing one of the world’s most prestigious art forms to life on the CWU campus. “Opera Scenes from Here and There” is tonight, June 6 at 7 p.m. in Hertz Hall. Can’t make it tonight? Don’t worry, there will be another show Sunday, June 8 also at 7 p.m. in Hertz Hall. Tickets are $7 for seniors and students with ID and $12 for adults. Get your tickets now at http://www.cwu.edu/tickets! Bring a date and show him or her how worldly you are, or bring your parents and wow them with your interest in something other than reality T.V. Either way, it’s a win-win!
The Opera Ensemble will perform a wide variety of opera pieces, from composers like Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Leonard Bernstein. From the classic “Cendrillon,” the French opera of Cinderella, to the contemporary “West Side Story,” the evening will be full of drama, humor, romance and excellent storytelling. How often do you get to see an opera in Ellensburg? Don’t miss it!
By the way, the CWU Opera Ensemble totally flash mobbed at SOURCE, and it was amazing.
