It’s that time of the year again for the Parade of Nations sponsored by the Center of Diversity and Social Justice (CDSJ) to roll through CWU on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Ballroom. The event showcases cultural dances and musical performances from around the world featuring students, staff and faculty.
Africa, South America and northern Europe will be just some of the regions on display in the parade. Participants will march down the runway (not unlike Project Runway) in colorful apparel representing their countries, displaying traditional ethnic clothes and giving the audience a peak at the beauty each culture exhibits (unlike Project Runway).
Central student Jonathan Glover says the Parade of Nations is better than breakfast. That’s right; eggs, pancakes, bacon and toast have nothing on this parade. French toast might give it a run for its money.
Come on down to the Parade of Nations and experience some of the best fun and fashion from around the world. The event is completely free completely open to the public (except you Chris, you know who you are).
