When I say extreme I mean extreme. Look at this poster. Extreme right?
Warren Miller Entertainment (WME) is bringing their feature film series back to CWU today, and if you’re like me, you probably couldn’t be more excited. We’re not talking some boring, fly by night documentary about ice and how interesting snow crystals are. No, we’re talking fast moving, powder pumping, goggle-wearing, ski riding entertainment.
“No Turning Back” will take you to some of the most beautiful slopes in the world, from Japan to the Swiss Alps, Montana to France and more, featuring athletes Ueli Kestenholz, Chris Anthony, and Washington local Ingrid Backstrom, and more.
This is WME’s 65th feature film to date. Having started in 1949 by Warren Miller, WME is responsible for some of the most daring and entertaining (and may I say extreme) ski movies on the planet. “No Turning Back” is no exception and audience members are sure to be thrilled with their adrenaline pumping an all cylinders by the time the credits roll.
Outdoor Pursuits and Rentals (OPR) will be hosting the “No Turning Back” showing here at CWU on Friday (today), Jan. 9 in the SURC Theatre. There will be two showings, one at 7 p.m. and the next at 9:30 p.m. Advance tickets for students and Rec Center members are $12, non-students $14, and day-of tickets will be $16.
