Freshman and sophomores, don’t miss out on this fun and, quite frankly, really awesome celebration of your first year or second year here at Central! The Freshman Year Experience End of the Year and Sophomore Year Experience Halfway to Graduation will be outside the SURC East Patio on May 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There’s 600 mini tassel keychains for both sophomores and freshman. And get this: 19 t-shirts are available for the first 19 freshmen who sit down for a quick video interview. And for sophomores there’s 30 shirts available for anyone who does a short video interview.

Not only that but there’s FYE and SYE water bottles students can get after filling out a short survey at any of the tables on the patio. And The ‘Burg will provide music. You can even commemorate the event with photos from a photo booth. And if you get hungry, stop by the popcorn machine to snag a free bag of buttery, yummy popcorn.

tasselAndBottle“It’s an opportunity for students to learn about and ask questions of different departments, take fun pictures with their friends in the photo booth, get free stuff, and have a good time,” said Warren Murray, graduate assistant for Sophomore Year Experience.

And if you aren’t totally sure what you want to major in yet, there will be programs tabling to give you information about programs and majors. Some of these include: First Year & Exploratory Advising, College of Business, College of the Sciences, Campus Activities, Medical and Counseling Clinic, Douglas Honors College.
