The Publicity Center offers a full slate of creative services to promote campus events, programs and departments while providing real world experience to student employees through hands-on skill development, professional mentoring and portfolio development.

Our student-focused Hype team invites students to experience campus life through a variety of student-focused “Hype” platforms including publications, social media, and street team opportunities.

FRIDAY, O​CT. 12

  • Cristela Alonzo, Homecoming Entertainer | SURC Ballroom | 8 p.m.
    Cristela Alonzo was the first Latina in TV history to create, produce and star in her own network TV sitcom, “Cristela.” She currently stars in her Netflix special, “Lower Classy.” Let us know you’re going on our Facebook event!

  • Alumni After Hours | Elks Ballroom, Downtown Ellensburg | 9:30 – 11:30 p.m.
    Join us as we gather for an after-hours event at the Elks Building in downtown Ellensburg. Meet with fellow Wildcats while enjoying complimentary appetizers and beverages, and live music from The Rusty Cage Band. This event is exclusive to attendees 21 and over. Sponsored by the CWU Alumni Association.

SATURDAY, OCT. 13

  • Lunch with the CWU Football Team | 2 p.m. | Holmes Dining
    Registration Coming Soon

    Join the CWU Football team at this special pre-game luncheon! The cost will be $10 per person and is open to the public. Alumni Members:Join the CWU Alumni Association from 3 – 4 p.m. in SURC 137 A/B, for a special meeting. We’ll be sharing the annual members report, as well as presenting the Alumni Association’s recent activities.

 

  • Wildcat bRUNch 5k | SURC Patio | Race starts at 10 a.m.
    Registration Information 

    Start your CWU Homecoming Saturday off right with a scenic 5k around the CWU campus. This year’s 5k will be breakfast themed! Participants will have the option (no pressure!) of snagging breakfast items such as juice, coffee, and doughnuts as they complete each kilometer of the race, and a full brunch buffet will be after the finish line for racers. Sponsored by CWU Recreation.

 

  • CWU Women’s Rugby vs. WSU | 11 a.m. | Details

 

  • CWU Women’s Soccer vs. Concordia | 12 p.m. | Details 

 

  • “World Without Walls,” a Mexican Folklore Celebration | 1 p.m. | McConnell Theatre | Free
    Join the cultural celebration with CWU’s MeChA club, Mariachi Del Centro, Ballet Folklorico Los Bailadores Del Sol of Central Washington, Bailadores de Bronce of Seattle and celebrated performer Jose Iniguez. This event is free and open to all, with a suggested non-perishable food donation suggested (all proceeds to benefit the local APOYO food bank). For more information, email robert.lopez@cwu.edu.

 

  • CWU Football Pre-Game Wildcat Tailgate | 3:30 p.m. | South of Tomlinson Stadium
    Join the pre-game fun with a variety of student groups! The Wildcat Tailgate will be at the south end zone of Tomlinson Stadium, behind the Nicholson Pavilion at 3:30 p.m. Play cornhole, get game day swag and show off your Wildcat pride. Sponsored by Campus Activities, 88.1 The Burg, University Recreation, Athletics, CWU Hype and ASCWU Student Government.

 

  • CWU Football vs. Western Oregon University | 6 p.m., doors open at 4:30 | Tickets
    Alumni and Wildcat Club members are invited to visit the Alumni Plaza when doors open!
