Connect with the Valley: Volunteer with CWU’s Center for Leadership and Community Engagement!

One way to feel at home in a new city is to get involved locally. The Center for Leadership and Community Engagement teams up with a variety of CWU departments and community organizations to clean parks, restore historic areas and connect with locals in Kittitas County.

Discover upcoming volunteer events that you can sign up for!

1. Clean up the Yakima River Canyon

Rafting down the Yakima River is one of Ellensburg’s most popular pasttimes, which means its banks and parks get a lot of visitors. Enjoy the scenery, remove litter and participate in a service project at one of the Bureau of Land Management’s parks.

CWU’s Outdoor Pursuits and Rentals will bring the fun with river rafts, so sign up today to secure your spot! Lunch and transportation provided. Meet in the SURC Pit.
