Looking for alternative workout options? Here are five CWU clubs to keep you active.
1 – Archery Club
Learn how to shoot a bow and arrow like Merida. (Ok, maybe not exactly like Merida).
The Archery Club meets once a week on Fridays at 4 p.m. You can join them at the Nicholson Pavilion for a fun practice. Beginners are welcome!
2 – CWU Climbing Team
Build quick reflexes and (hopefully) some sound judgement.
The CWU Climbing Team meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. at the Rec Center climbing wall. It’s open to all students no matter their skill level. The Climbing Team also competes in Northwest Collegiate Climbing Competition Series and state-wide.
3 – CWU Equestrian Club

Always wished you had a horse when you were younger? (I still wish I had one, and I’m 20)
The CWU Equestrian Club meets Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in SURC 201. No previous experience with horses is necessary. The club does compete in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), but you can choose whether or not you wish to participate in competition.
4 – CWU Running Club
Whether you’re new to running or a complete novice, there’s no need to run alone!
Join CWU Running Club to enjoy a positive team environment. They offer a Cross Country season in the Fall and a Track and Field season in the Spring.
5 – CWU Ultimate Team
Have you spotted the team practicing on campus?
The CWU Ultimate Team is a great place to try out Ultimate Disc. All you need to join is a pair of cleats and a competitive spirit. Beginners are more than welcome!
