Backcountry Skiing and Touring
9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. • Meet at OPR, shuttle to Cascade Mountains
$35/CWU students, $43/Non-students
Pre-registration and pre-trip meeting required. Learn how to backcountry ski, set a skin track and enjoy fresh powder with OPR. Equipment included.

A tribe of cats called the Jellicles must decide yearly which one will ascend to the Heaviside Layer.

Stella Moreno Collection Dedication and Poetry Reading

Join Dr. Juieta Altamirano-Crost, Dr. Anthony Geist, Dr. Antonio Sanchez, Xavier Cavazos and Andreina Delgado with readings from Poetics Without Borders/Poetica Sin Fronteras by Stella Moreno.

Wed. March 4
Interactive “Twilight” Screening
7 p.m. • SURC Theatre • Free
Join the Wellness Center for an interactive showing of “Twilight.” There will be a split screen with the movie and a live Instagram feed where students can post commentary. Let’s have fun with an old favorite while also pointing out crazy stalking behaviors (which would not play out well for Edward in real life!).

Thurs. March 5
ASCWU Special Ballot
8 a.m. – 8 p.m. • Vote Online • cwu.edu/ascwu
Vote on a special ballot that would change the structure of student government to bring more seats to the table. Under the new structure there would be 23 senator seats and six members on the executive board for a total of 29 elected student positions. This allows for a broader representation and a stronger, louder student voice.

Monkey Lingo: Vocalization Among Tibetan Macaques

New York Times Critic’s Pick, and Pulitzer Prize Finalist, “The Wolves” reveals a high school girls’ soccer team warming up to face the large and small challenges of adult life. Parents may consider some material unsuitable for their youngest children. May include situations, language, or actions that may startle some patrons.

Battle of the Bands

Bands going head to head to showcase their talents to CWU students. Enjoy live music and a little fun competition.

Sat. March 7
Cascades Meadow Snowshoe
10 a.m. – 6 p.m. • Meet at OPR, shuttle to Cascade Mountains $32/ CWU students, $39 Non-students
Pre-registration and pre-trip meeting required. Enjoy a day of snowshoeing in the eastern region of the Cascade Mountains.
