When you think of Earth Day, you might think about picking up
garbage, planting trees, or recycling the collection of aluminum
cans your grandparents gather for months. It may seem like your
contribution to celebrate this day is so small that it won’t matter,
but your impact is much bigger than you think!
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day this year, SLICE is
partnering with state and local agencies to coordinate the Spring
Day of Service, a long-standing tradition in Ellensburg previously
known as the Yakima River Cleanup.
